Get to use every club in your bag on this 9-hole executive par 3 course. Incredibly well maintained, friendly staff and volunteers. Pace moves well. Mix of people sharpening skills, casual and beginning golfers.
For a quick 9 it did its job. What sucks about this course is the patrons. No one cleans their ball marks on greens. I fixed at least 6 on every hole.
It challenges your iron play and driver on 2 holes.
Pace of play was good even with walkers or riders.
Front staff was nice and the starters take it all seriously.
TLDR; the staff are incredibly rude and better to pay a little more for somewhere else.
Take the other reviews warning about rude staff into consideration before going. I went and it is an okay, cheap golf course, however the staff made my group very uncomfortable. It was raining off and on almost all day so hardly anyone was there for context. Myself and two of my girl friends went; two of us were beginner, one is is a good golfer with years of experience. We arrive and one golf cart would suffice for the three of us, yet we were all charged separately for golf carts because of “insurance” (sureee). The lady at the front desk then suggests we are not very welcome there and asks if we are old enough to be playing golf ourselves (we are in our mid to early twenties and it was said in a tone as though we were too stupid to play). We start to drive our golf carts out and another staff member is cracking up at us and saying we looked foolish playing with only one set of clubs (we were playing scramble considering only one of us was skilled at golf and frankly it’s none of his business how may sets of clubs we were using). At this point, the sexism is starting to wear on all of us and lessen our time. The staff proceeds to laugh at us teeing off and joke that we need lessons. They also came over to tell us that we would need to wait if people came behind us (we were playing scramble and were moving along very quickly because we were hitting from the experienced player’s ball). They were also exceedingly rude when we left and said bye in a rude tone. It felt like an old boys club and was one of the most sexist experiences I have had recently. Considering this is not a top tier golf course with hardly anyone there, it was unexpected and unnecessary.
The woman in the clubhouse was extremely rude from the start. Went with my 2 woman friends and experienced bad customer service from the beginning. The woman did not think we were old enough to rent carts (despite being 24+ years old). The man renting carts laughed in our face about our clubs. We hit one shot off the tee on the first hole and the course keepers came up to us yelling that we were being too slow. Honestly felt judged and profiled the entire time despite being a lifelong regular golfer.
Wilson has been my go to course while learning how to golf. Great course, very inexpensive and plays quick
Cheap course for good reason. Used a pitching wedge to tee off on four holes and the clubhouse manager has got a huge stick up the hind. If you’re going to play so cheap, lighten up.
Went to this course today (when it was raining and no one was there) with two of my friends. Staff was extremely sexist towards us, laughing in our faces, and telling us to let other golfers go ahead of us because we were taking too long. I’ve never experienced such blatant disrespect, and it was clear that the staff thought they could disrespect us because we were three younger women.
Great beginner course that can also challenge experienced golfers. Par 30.
